Chromatics Bring the Dark Waves to the Wiltern

First show in LA in five years!

At a sold out show at the Wiltern, the Chromatics brought their ominous grooves. With interesting projections and 60s styled movie posters everywhere, the night was basically an episode of Twin Peaks. With opening acts In Mirrors and Desire, the show progressed at a beautiful rate. Desire and Chromatics paired again thanks to Johnny Jewel made it feel as if you were watching the film Drive which I am sure most fans were aware. Chromatics’ first show in LA in five years was really one to remember and you could tell that the crowd as well as the band members knew the night was special. Even their merch area was styled with neon lights and posters that made you want to spend every last penny. A great highlight of the night was seeing both Flying Lotus and Thundercat hanging out enjoying the show. Having my girlfriend Paige who didn’t know any of the bands come out of it a new fan just shows how great Chromatics really are. They performed well and gained new fans altogether, and I look forward to their new album releasing sometime soon because “Time Rider” is not nearly enough.
