'Your Body Will be Whole Again' declares Mattiel

Just finding out about Mattiel the day of the show, I was already eager to cover her performance. The perfect way to describe her music is 60s White Stripes. I absolutely loved it and she is super fierce and demanding on stage. Being the opener of the night, the crowd was ultimately 100% contained by her, and when they were cut short one song, the crowd even booed the venue workers for kicking them off early. I’m sure this pissed off the band, but to have that support early on from the crowd who is not attending the show specifically for you, that’s a pretty big deal. Mattiel is definitely on my radar now thanks to a nice PR official and I hope she remains on everyone else’s as well. Long live this folk rock resurgence!
