pond frontman performed sold out show at intimate club tee gee
Nicholas Allbrook, Australian musician and former member of Tame Impala plus frontman of Pond, recently performed a sold-out show in Los Angeles, marking a significant milestone in his career. The multi-talented musician, singer, and songwriter known for his distinctive style and eclectic musical influences packed out the rather small Club Tee Gee for a night of sweat and music, being a few years since he’s played a solo gig in the city.
The 12 song set featured mostly tracks off Allbrook’s latest album, Manganese, which dropped in June of this year. Tracks like “Commodore” and “Babbel” were mixed in with fan favorites “100 k’s ‘round Carmel,” with even a few covers of Bruce Springsteen and Black Sabbath. At times, Allbrook would tilt and contort his body, having the music almost guide his movement. The audience followed suit. Check out the set list here!
