Few bands are able to achieve a cult-like following without even one full-length album under their belt, but LSD and the Search for God were up for the challenge, immediately cementing themselves as cherished classics with their self-titled EP, LSD and the Search for God in 2007. Live, the band maintains their signature gleam, enlisting psychedelic projections to swirl around them, encapsulating the expanse of the room into a unified field with the stage by allowing kaledescopic hues to crawl across the walls alongside them. In a wash of phased-out melodies that fall like pixie dust, the band soars, sonically guided by blazing drones and crooning vocals.

The Northern California outfit is well-known for keeping a low profile, but has since released a second EP in 2016, Heaven Is A Place, almost a decade after the release of their shimmering debut. Now nearly 8 years post-release of Heaven Is A Place, the band’s bio boasts an album is in the works. Despite a minimalist discography of only 10 tracks total, the group’s evocative precision inspired a sold out Lodge Room that left fans craving more.
