Village of Love: Stand with planned parenthood

PLANNED PARENTHOOD benefit had performAnces from mac demarco, weyes blood, and more!

First off, what a great benefit show for Planned Parenthood. They are an organization that has been there for numerous people to me as well as much of the states, so it is very nice to know that artists are coming together to help keep them running. Too many artists to name on one small bill, but the sets flowed smoothly with most acts deciding to play nothing but covers of famous love songs, fitting for Valentine’s Day. All I got to say is Weyes Blood covering “My Heart Will Go On” was absolutely insane! She nailed it with ease. Cherry Glazerr I haven’t seen since the smell days so now getting to listen to the newish members was pretty cool. Let me tell you, they are rock stars. They know exactly what they are doing and now I see why they are selected to open for acts like Jenny Lewis and Chvrches. Mac Daddy as always delivered. His cover of “Unknown Legend” by Neil Young has not aged a bit, along with his request for the crowd to kneel for Neil. Many people also won prizes from a raffle with all proceeds going to PP as well. I’ll be here every year.
