THIS MODERN LOVE band played debut record Backwards

This song still means a lot to me as do many of the tracks off Bloc Party’s debut, Silent Alarm. I have never seen the band live so this was an absolute great memory. I truly experienced the album in full along with the rest of the audience that embraced every song with so much gratitude and love. I have never seen such an energetic crowd, besides maybe at a rock show. The crowd was older of course, with the occasional young person here and there. This did not stop every person from chanting the lyrics and jumping around as if they were back in the early 2000s. Bloc Party sounded completely perfect. It was like I was playing the CD in the car while driving through the forest. I got so lost in the set that I did not want it to end. I simply excepted the fact that it was over and that I should consider myself lucky to have attended. It was the kind of speciality that I had when I saw my favorite band Interpol perform Turn on the Bright Lights in full. I’m certain many of those who were at Bloc Party were also at that show. I also ran into the bass player of No Doubt while getting my ticket at the box office.
